Aviva
Aviva our diva girl who loves to cuddle, play, purr will be at the event. She also loves treats and watching for things that move because this means more play. This 10 week old girl would love to come snuggle with you and entertain you with her playful antics. Bugsby
Bugsby our blind older Bichon Mix boy may have an attitude ( he will growl and bite) about being touched when he dont want to be touched, but knowing his past may help you understand why. This 10 ish year old boy came to us in the trunk of a car with severe painful ulcers in his eyes. He was blind already and he had to get several surgeries to treat the ulcers. Then a couple of years of eye drops, Glaucoma surgery etc. Bugsby has chronic ear infections due to a chicken already also so must eat salmon food. He recently developed dry eye in 1 of his eyes, and he already was showing us daily how u happy he is about having his eyes messed with so the specialist had to remove the eye. Bugsby does have moments where he is a sweet boy however he is a cranky older boy who prefers to do things on his terms and we make sure he gets his proper food, eye meds while respecting his boundaries.
Buster
Buster our 15 year old boy who came to rescue with a broken leg, seizure, severe heart issues, and a perineal hernia has been constantly at our vet for much needed medical care. He is such a sweet boy everybody loves him however we know he will most likely live the rest of his life in rescue. He is has had his broken leg treated successfully, is on daily seizure meds, and he is on daily heart meds. He is unable to have any surgery due to his heart issues, which means cant be neutered nor have his hernia fixed. He is also incontinent. Even with all his medical issues Buster is the sweetest boy ever who knows everybody is trying to help him.
Carrie
Carrie is a 3 year old Chihuahua mix girl about 10 pounds. She is a sweet girl who loves to be in your lap is good with other dogs, cats, and respectful children. She is crate trained and housebroken. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, etc. Carrie is being fostered in Hampton. Flossy
Flossy is a female 8 year old Beagle. This tiny girl is about 20 pounds. She came to rescue hw positive , had hernia, and mammary tumor. After surgery for partial masectomy and hernia surgery she is now ready for her hw treatment. She will have that very soon. Flossy is hiusebroken and crate trained. She is good with dogs, cats, and dogs. She rides well in the car and is good for baths/nails.
Foxy
Foxie is a beautiful Mini Aussie/Corgi Mix girl. This petite girl came to rescue after ending up at a local shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed. Foxie is a bit timid and reserved but loves attention . She rides great in the car, and is good for bath, blow dry, and grooming. Foxie weighs about 20 pounds at 2 years old. Frank
Frank is a 2-3 year old Yorkie mix boy about 9 pounds. He is such a sweet boy and is good with other dogs, cats, and respectful children. He is crate trained and housebroken. Hannah
Hannah is a sweet girl who came to rescue with her babies in June. Her babies r weaned and mama Hannah would love to find her forever home. She has been around other cats and in a home with dogs. She purrs and loves cuddles. She came to rescue missing many of her teeth- which we r not sure if lost them due to bad care or were extracted. This does not stop her from enjoying her food and treats. She is scheduled for spay soon. She is microchipped and vaccinated. Hannah is being fostered in New Kent. Joker
Joker is now up for adoption. He is a sweet loving Chihuahua boy who loves other dogs but would prefer a home without small children. He is also still afraid of men. He will need a home with patience for sure as he does takes time to adjust. But he loves to be around you and would love to have another play friend. He is affectionate when trusts u. Lizzy
Lizzie is a 6 year old female Persian who came to rescue with a eye ulcer which was most likely caused by dry eye. She has been cleared by the eye specialist and the eye ulcer has healed. She may need eye meds for the dry eye for remainder her life. She is very cooperative for her eye meds. Lizzie also had some matting - we had her professionally groomed. Lizzie is not a fan of being brushed. Lizzie was an outdoor kitty before ending up at the shelter and has done well with litterbox training. Lizzie does prefer to be an only pet. Magnolia
Magnolia is a 10 week Lab Shepherd Mix girl who is great with children and other pets. She is doing great with housebreaking and rides well in the car. She is about 15 pounds and is current on medical including microchip. Magnolia is being fostered in Norfolk. Mora
Mora is a sweet, loyal, and affectionate Min Pin Mix who loves belly rubs, toys, and long naps in the sun after some window watching. She bonds deeply with her people and thrives on snuggles and treats! She loves going for walks and exploring the outside. She would be best in an active home that will take her exploring, or at a minimum, someone with a fenced back yard that she can freely explore. Like many dogs, Mora takes mealtime seriously — she prefers to enjoy her food without interruptions. She may growl if another animal approaches her while she eats, but this is easily managed by placing her food in a quiet location without other pets. Outside of mealtime, shes a total lovebug who wants nothing more than to be by your side and follow you everywhere. She has a love of all humans big and small and is extremely tolerant and patient with the smallest of humans as they try to navigate their new worlds with pets and people. One of Mora’s favorite activities when she isn’t outside is to play tug of war with the other animals in the home. She is great with other dogs, big and small. Cats aren’t her favorite, and she will quickly chase them out of the room. Rocket is a 3 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix boy who loves the snow. He will always find a spot to roll. Rocket is a calm boy who just wants love. He has been good with the other non confrontational dogs. He is good with children and is good on leash. Rocket rides well in the car. He weighs about 65 pounds.
